I Had Houston Hot Chicken for The First Time...This is How it Went

Working on your feet for hours on end, cooking is NOT the ideal thing you want to do when you get home but I was exhausted and hANGRY!

They recently just opened up a Houston Hot Chicken near me. I had plans on trying it as I enjoy Chicken and was hoping it tasted better than Dave's Hot Chicken, which is a much longer drive to get to.

I ordered the 3 tender meal with fries and some strawberry hibiscus drink. I got a ranch and a cheese sauce on the side (that I was charged $1 each for!)

My grand total $22!! (I almost fainted)...

The vibe inside gave me evening lounge. It was cool.

I opened the box and wasn't impressed... I am serious about my chicken and I wasn't getting the vibes I had hoped for BUT most occasions, looks can be deceiving and I was starving so I dug in!

WOMP!...

The fries weren't hot, they were super stale and the chicken wasn't juicy at all, not to mention I was expecting them to be a tad bit bigger in size with a $22 price tag.

The cheese sauce.... im still under the impression that they made a mistake and gave me the wrong sauce because that was not cheese! It shared the same color as cheese and that was it.

The strawberry hibiscus drink was wonderful!

Overall, Dave's Hot Chicken for the win over Houston Hot Chicken!

At Dave's you can find bigger pieces of chicken, cheese that really tastes like cheese, better ranch and they make milkshakes!

But that's just my opinion!
