You Love Fancy and Expensive Coffee but You're Broke? Say no more!

Look, I love a hot coffee from the shop coffee in the morning, especially during the holiday season, but times have changed, bills have gone up, retail prices have gone up and it's just a luxury I can't do anymore! Yes, I have $12 to get a hot peppermint mocha and a muffin... but is it smart? I'm a middle class working citizen and student loans are due again so no... it's not smart! I could buy a whole meal to cook from the grocery store with $12! I could get gas with that $12!

This doesn't mean you still can't enjoy the festive season and festive tastes though!

I have not been to a coffee shop this year yet BUT I have had amazing peppermint mochas and some outstanding gingerbread lattés!

Okay, you don't have to beat it out of me! I'm a lot of things... a gatekeeper is NOT one!!

Yes, y'all! I was spiraling out of control because I wanted my holiday brew but refused to pay all of that money for it!

One random day, while minding my business, an add popped up on my Amazon telling me this might be something I'd like, so I clicked and there were flavors, upon flavors, upon more flavors. I was still upset that a certain establishment canceled their gingerbread lattés, so I decided to try that flavor first! Knowing it was going to be delivered soon, I went to my local grocery and picked up some whipped cream. The store brand, maybe like only $2!. Then, finally, it arrived and I was extremely hopeful! Guys!! Maybe I'm biased, but mine tasted WAY better!

Maybe because I added my own amount of ingredients? Maybe because I took my time when making it because I didn't have 20 rowdy strangers anxiously waiting for their name to be called? Who knows! What I do know is that it was amazing! I destroyed my first cup and made a second one! In the comfort of my own home!

The verdict of this blog is that, I may never go to a retail coffee shop ever again! I mean, if someone gifts me with a gift card or something, then yeah, I'll go! Other than that...NO! I've unlocked the barista inside of me now and she's the best barista I've ever had assemble a lattè for me! So stock up on them before the secret gets out!
